MITISKA REIM, a Brussels based real estate investment management company, has started the construction of its Dansaert Retail Park in Brussels, Belgium. MITISKA REIM undertakes this development on behalf of its specialist real estate fund “First Retail International” (FRI).
Dansaert Retail Park will offer 8.500 m² retail space with 225 parking spaces and it is 100% pre-leased to 10 national and international renowned retailers such as McDonald’s, AVA, Hunkemöller, Zeb, Torfs, JBC, E5-Mode, Bio Planet, Pizza Hut and Jims Fitness.
This new retail park is situated in the West periphery of Brussels immediately adjacent to and easily accessible from the Brussels ring road, as little as 5 km from the city centre.
Due attention has been paid to the sustainability of the retail park project entailing, among other things, reusing rainwater, building well-insulated concrete walls, encouraging cyclists, pedestrians and the use of public transport, providing quality green spaces with indigenous plants and using sustainable materials.
The ceremony to lay the cornerstone for the new investment took place on 26 June. Completion of construction works is planned for April next year.
Having received an investment of 13 million EUR, this retail park project creates 75 new long-term jobs.
